And we’re off!!
The 2019 football season is now underway and we are excited about the great things that are to come for our program this season. Yesterday, due to the heat, we were unable to get outside and really get going like we wanted to, but the weather seems to be cooperating with us and we’ll be out there getting it going today at 3:30.
If you have a student-athlete that is interested in joining the team, please have them make their way to the Rock House (practice field area). All physicals must be turned in to Drew Lohnes or Lee Laskowski in the Activities Office at the high school and then the player will be given a certificate of clearance to begin practice.
A copy of the physical paperwork can be found on this website under the “More” tab and then under the “Parent/Student Info” section.
School begins tomorrow and players will go from school to practice, with practice wrapping up around 5:30 daily. We will practice for the next two Saturdays, August 17 and August 24 from 8-11, in preparation for the season; those are our only two Saturday practice days for the entire season.
Just a reminder that the mandatory parent/player meeting is this Thursday at 6:00pm in the Ritenour High School Auditorium. The player, and guardian (someone over 18 years of age) must both be in attendance during this meeting where we will discuss pertinent information for this upcoming season.
Next week we will be headed to Francis Howell Central for our jamboree; the start time is 7pm.
A huge Huskies Howl goes out to Brian Golden, Kameron Cole, and Koreyon Harris for coming out and representing the football team at this past Monday’s Freshman Transition Day.
