We are a month into the season and have had some great results thus far.
Last week the team was at St. Vincent Park, competing at the Ladue – Clayton Invitation on Thurday afternoon. Coincidentally it was also recently announced that St. Vincent Park will also be the site of the Husky’s District Meet on Saturday, October 26.
Under the scorching sun last Thursday the Huskies brought home 7 medals including a top 10 finish in the men’s Varsity race by Sophmore Ben Weissler. His time of 18:17 was good for 7th place overall in a field that included several teams that we will see at the district meet.
The JV men took home 3 medals, led by Junior Amirion Saffold and the JV women brought home 3 medals of their own led by Senior Jazmine Brevik.
This weekend the team will try to conquer the hill known to local cross country teams as the “Manmaker” at Sioux Passage Park when they compete in the Paul Enke Invitational on Saturday morning. This meet has long been one of the toughest in the Midwest!
We are looking forward to more great races this weekend!
